The new Audi Q7 e-tron

Set to be in demand in the business world

The new Audi Q7 e-tron is set to appeal heavily to the corporate world due to the SUV’s impressive economy and low running costs.
The plug-in hybrid version of the latest Audi Q7, combines a 3.0-litre TDI diesel and 94kW electric engine to produce 373PS and near silence for up to 34 miles under electric power alone.

With an anticipated 8% BIK figure, the Q7 e-tron boasts a fuel consumption of 166mpg and a predicted 46g/km CO2 emissions; potentially, a very appealing car to own due to the attractive costs for businesses.

When compared with the standard Q7, only the 19-inch e-tron-specific alloys, the 3D nine-bar grille, subtle e-tron badging and a rear diffuser with hidden rear exhaust pipes, differ in appearance. The interior between the two models goes as much unnoticed. Most notable is the fitment of Audi’s innovative virtual cockpit instrument panel as standard. As expected in an electric car, the cockpit includes additional displays to highlight fuel economy and the electric range.

Audi’s technology advancements and innovation are demonstrated through the Predictive Efficiency Assistant system found in the e-tron. Working with the MMI system navigation, you’re guided on the most efficient route from the hybrid system, as it recognises key elements such as speed limits, roundabouts and inclines. The system can also control the freewheeling function of the eight-speed tiptronic, so that SUV rolls idle towards a restricted speed zone, such as a roundabout.
There are four driving modes for the Q7 e-Tron; EV which is pure electric power, Hybrid where the e-Tron system chooses between diesel and electric power and finally Battery Hold and Battery Charge functions.
The seamless switch between motor and diesel engine provides a more refined drive than the already smooth, standard Q7 model.

Sales are predicted to be made up of 50% SME buyers, due to the BIK and low running costs.
