No wonder they call it small yet mighty. The only car in its class to come with a pioneering 7 Year Warranty, the Kia Picanto is compact enough to nip through city streets, yet comes with a superb standard specification you’d normally only expect in a larger car.
Every model comes with an RDS radio and CD player with MP3 disc functionality, front or all-round electric windows, remote central door locking with fold-away key, a trip computer and superb safety features including 6 airbags, an Anti-Lock Braking System and Electronic Stability Control.
With a longer wheelbase than its predecessor, the Kia Picanto has lots of legroom and plenty of clever technology, bringing you comfort and control.
Engines for the future
The Picanto comes with a choice of two sophisticated, lightweight 1.0 litre and 1.25 litre petrol engines. Both keep consumption and CO2 emissions down, and with the Picanto ‘2 EcoDynamics' model you can reduce your emissions even further.
Choose between 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic transmissions to make shifting between gears smooth, easy and quiet.
Twin front airbags for driver and front passenger are standard across across all Picanto models. The Picanto range has a sophisticated Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) which minimises stopping distances whilst the four-channel, four-sensor EBD system auto matically distributes braking forces between wheels for the best braking performance.
Three-point seatbelts are fitted to all four seats, whilst the front seatbelts also benefit from pre-tensioners and load-limiters for added safety. Fade-free ventilated disc brakes on the front wheels with drum brakes on the rear are standard on all models.
